Damn. 32mpg in a pickup?

That's impressive, if true (not calling you a liar. We're basing this off of the trucks computer)

Yeah, I was amazed too. But, again, I was hypermiling that thing and I'm pretty sure I had a tailwind. I told my service guy about the mileage, he was surprised too....so it's not normal.

If that trucks computer is like mine, it is almost 2 mpg optimistic. I just posted that because I was really surprised.

In the end, I'm still very happy to be back in my truck with the 3.5EB.

the ten speed and auto start stop are pretty amazing.

this is apples to oranges but one of my sales guys is getting lifetime (2800miles) 22.7 combined on his 2018 2.7l 4x4 STX with 3.73 gears and LT285/65 BFG ATKO2 (65lbs each). Computer says 23.5.

that’s in SoCal running 87 octane.

I am known to drive like a grandpa, that means my foot is very light on the gas pedal, and the best MPG I got so far on my 2017 Super Crew 6.5ft box 4x4 3.5 ecoboost with the 10sp transmission and the 3.55 is 20.5MPG on my first trip.

My current average (70% city 30% highway) is 17MPG.

When I drive 100% city, I get 15-16MPG. It would only be worst if I drived a little more aggressive.

Perhaps I'd have better fuel mileage if I used premium fuel.

I can't see how someone could do 32mpg unless being on the neutral rolling down a hill. This said, I would love to see the proof.

It wasn't my 3.5EB. It was a 2018 2wd supercab (not supercrew) 2.7EB, 98% highway driving and I only did it for a little over 60 miles. Again, I was hypermiling, not driving normally.

My 3.5EB has a hand calculated lifetime average of 18.27 mpg right now. It has 7500 miles on it. I think the best tank I've hand calculated on my truck was a little over 19 mpg....but I'm happy with that.

37000km on a 2017 3.5EB 10spd and I am getting 11.7l/100km or 20MPG, very happy with that for a full size pick up.

The 2.7EB and 3.0 Diesel will be the two engines I look at for my next truck. Wish I could get the 6.5ft bed with a 4x4 2.7EB.

I dont tow over 7500 lbs nor would I with a half ton. And I don't do 0-60 in 6 seconds. The 3.5 is a great engine but seems a little overkill for a half ton. I do love mine but the 2.7 with a 10 speed seems like plenty.

I commute much more than when I bought my 3.5EB. The 2.7 and 3.0 would save $50-100 in gas but in reality not much of a difference. Just get tired of seeing 18-19 mpg on the readout. It's a mental thing.

That's very good. My guess is that you drive highway 99% of the time? 11.7L in city is nearly impossible. However, Toronto has a pretty flat topography as compared to where I live...

After 3000kms, mixed city and highway, my overall average is 13.5L/100km (17.42MPG). As I said, I drive like an old man so it would only be worst. I suspect the consumption is going to decrease soon, since the engine has broken in.
