sorry i can't afford to get that info to share lol. https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Purchase/ViewProduct

i am going off what was told by others that have had the oil leak fixed. that standard fix from what i have read is remove and replace oil pan and sealant. fill with new oil and start. i can't find where i actually read the ford steps. i will post if i find it again.

That's what I was told by the service manager yesterday at my dealership. They ordered the new oil pan because it's a one time use part.

What plant did the truck come from. I've got a 2017 3.5 out of dearborn with a build date of 12/16 and no leaks. But I'll def be getting a skid plate to add for protection in case.

My leaking truck is a 2017 3.5 ecoboost with a 12/16 build date out of Dearborn just like yours. Good luck!

Since its NASCAR weekend in NorCal, there are no rental cars available. Starting to boarder on the side of ridiculous. The truck has 730 miles on it, I just made my second payment, and I am walking.
I was told that warrantee work usually requires parts that are not stocked, and thus the delay in getting the work quickly. It took them 3 days end to end to get the job done. By the way, most dealerships will give you a car on site if you ask. They understand you just dropped 50k and are bringing it in before the first oil change. Hope this helps others moving forward

I got mine back last Friday this time with new pan . I've driven it several days and towed. I changed the oil last night and: NO LEAKS!

The only annoying thing is they didn't change my oil filter and I had the same oil life % so I went ahead and changed it. I'm not 100% sure but it appeared they refilled it with 5w20.

Ford's warranty repair policy is not keeping up with technology. When a dealer does not try re-sealing oil pan first Ford can deny payment. Made sense when the oil pan was metal. But now the polymer oil pan reacts with the sealant and it can never be scraped off clean so in essence it is a one time use oil pan. The smart/experienced dealers will put wrapped or cracked oil pan on the first go to save the customer' time.

Default 2017 f150 3.5 Oil Leak at 7,700 km

One more 2017 f150 3.5 with a oil leak. It's goes in next week for diagnostic as they didn't have time at the oil change today to check it out. Yay

Just found that my 17 3.5 Screw 12/16 build date Dearborn truck is leaking. 5500miles! Of course it happens a week before I'm driving from Michigan to NC and back for vacation.

Taking it in on Monday morning hoping that they can fast track me.

Anyone have "long term" experience with the fix that ford is doing for this? Or are we looking at this happening over and over again?
