I thought there is an extra wire near the spare tire placed specifically for this. Any links or info on how to wire a 3rd brake light would be much appreciated.
I know I can get a turn signal filter from etrailer but would rather find a dedicated wire.
Pull the drivers side kick panel off, there are two harnesses in that area, you want the purple with white stripe wire coming out of the black plug. Tap that for your topper light. There is a grommet under the carper that it can be fed through.
