This thread is about iPhones but my pixel xl does the same thing.

I've had my 2017 for a month and keep forgetting to search on this issue. Well, my wife and I about had a heart attack this morning (for about the 10th time) because I forgot to turn the ringer down last night. My wife was cursing my pretty new truck at 6AM. So here I am.
I've changed the setting recommended, above, which will hopefully help with the alarm issue (I keep my phone on silent at ALL times), but please sign me up for a REAL fix.

Every Ford I rent
I did see where the Ford guy was on this string and now he's gone. Does anyone else know if this problem will go away on another upgrade? I have had this happen to at least 10 Ford cars/trucks through my Avis rentals, and have to laugh at some of the scares...I have the same stories, and even on planes at odd times.
Would it be helpful if I started leaving which vehicle and which Sync update version I experience this with? Maybe research would help Ford get the picture?!?!
And, I don't experience this on my Chevy or in Toyota, Hyundai, and other GM rentals. Was actually happy to see this thread and know I am not losing my mind alone.
thanks

Hopefully wilsons66604 has the fix posted about a year ago on page 2 of this thread.Attachment 531774
Which is still a bug plus I've now lost the ability to adjust the ringer volume on my phone without having to dig into my phone settings. Which is still really annoying but better than having a heart attach at 6am when my alarm goes off.
Hopefully Ford will find a real fix for this and not think this workaround is a real solution.
