Here's another butthurt Raptor owner about the change to an ecoboost motor.

I can't stand the sound of that loud V8 that makes women moist in the crotch or the long term durability of the 6.2. No, I don't care about that stuff because I just want better fuel economy in my offroad beast.

Oh wait, people have already tried modding an ecoboost with 4.10 gears and 35" tires. Guess what? They got worse mileage than the 6.2. Oh snap.

Looks like I'll be driving my Raptor for a looooong time.

Oooh for power? Go spend some time on youtube comparing the two. Pretty much a wash. So what was your point again?

And I guess we know who wears the pants in your family, huh?

Yep she wears them happy wife happy life. My tt ls1 77 280z smokes her jeep but guess what it's quiet cause it's turbocharged :/. It just cracks my up at you guys getting all bent out of shape over a motor that will have more power, 100% better tq curve. But boo hoo it's not a v8. I have owned 10 v8 motors in my life some blown some turbo. Some high compression na but this eco is one hell of a motor period. For me if they put a turbo v8 or blown 5.0 I would buy them instead. I'm not the one getting bent out of shape on # of cyl.. lol

I'm laughing at this "butt hurt" term that's thrown around so much on the forums. lol

Is it a little more hurt than just regular hurt? Roids maybe?

It's that burning itching hurt that does not go away. Lol

You can see it by how upset and how they have to defend their motor its itching . The burning is the desire to lash out to save it.
Its done gone good bye.

It doesn't make any sense to add the 6.2 in the 2015 F150 for such a small number of trucks. It didn't make any sense to offer it in 2011 either, but they did it. Most people buying Raptors probably don't care what engine is in it and the ones who can do math would prefer the EB anyway.

The long-term durability argument made a lot more sense in the days of $1 gas. Nowadays the fuel savings from the EB as compared to the 6.2 will pay for a brand new, dealer installed longblock by 150,000 miles. So even if I have to replace both turbos at 150k I'm still money ahead.
