Then to further reclaim lost mpg's due to large tires, either 1) regear to a taller gear, or 2) go back to the factory size listed on the door jamb. Hope that was more helpful.
Jon, Calm Down...

Hes just askin is there anything he can do to bring the drone down at highway sppeds.

As well, as his truck has around 100 miles on the odometer, mostly test driven miles. He says the Lie O Meter, reads 9 mpgs.

NRB, Youll see better mpgs, by driving with a light right foot (unlike, those who test drove it). Your taller tires may give you a 1mpg drop, but if you have a Heavy right foot. Thats what will really Kill your mpgs!

LOL, I'm calm. I thought I answered how to fix his issues in my second post? Also you bring up a good point. Hand calculated mileage is always far more accurate.

Oh and lets not forget we are all seeing lower mpg's due to winter blend gas.

I can only imagine how it was driven on the test drives. Surprised it got even 9mpg's. IMO those tires and rims will help it lose at least another 1 mpg. I would think after break-in and some conservative driving it should get much closer to advertised mpg's.

You're not going to be able to get that exhaust any more quiet than what it is. It's a Roush performance exhaust that's much louder than stock.

Curious what other "Mods" it has that makes it a Roush.

Great looking truck.

Mine is the SC version and I get between 17 and 18 mpg.

Embrace the exhaust noise or swap it out.

I'll trade my stock exhaust for your Roush exhaust.

I haven't done anything about my mpg concern... but I'm below 14 on a mixed commute, rarely heavy on the throttle, with stock engine, exhaust, and tires. I was above 14 mpg before leveling and removing the air dam. I checked tire pressure yesterday and it was 34 psi at every corner, so I may raise that a little. I have <5k on the odometer and just gave it it's first oil change this week.

It's a 5.0L, and I didn't buy it for its fuel economy, but I'm not seeing the numbers I expected.

The 5.0 and 3.5 eco engines are gas hogs when driven in true city situations or driven aggressively. Also the 5.0 doesnt have a torque curve like your audi and to feel the same acceleration, the 5.0 will need far more gas and have to rev higher to get to that power (remember its same engine as mustang). So your mpg are normal for the truck and how you are driving.

Truck looks good!

The roush has larger more aggressive tires than stock and heavier aftermarket wheels. You will most likely not see the advertised from Ford mpg numbers with the above mentioned add ons.

I'd contact Rush and see if they recommend a resonator for that exhaust. Or check with your local muffler shop. You might see a drop in horsepower, but not much.

The mpg will go up. Just keep your foot out of it for a few days.
