Default 2016 Regular Cab XL Sport 5.0 2wd Procharged

Well, I finally got everything sorted out on my Procharger install and tune so I could take it to the track. This is the last time I will be able to run it at the track until spring when the track opens again.

This pass was at full weight plus 3/4 of a tank of gas on street tires (Toyo Proxes S/T). Slicks would have put me in the low 12's or High 11's. Traction was not a problem when coming out of the hole at low rpm. Brake torquing to 1800 rpm or above at launch the boost would come in immediately and smoke the tires on the well prepped track.

The only mods besides the Procharger are Resonator delete with full 3" pipe through a 3" Magnaflow muffler, Lakewood Traction Bars and 20" wheels and tires (which slow it down by 1.5 -.2 because of size and weight).

At the bottom is the time slip when it was bone stock.

On that run I had one foot on the brake and one on the gas. While holding the brake I press the gas pedal just enough to bring the RPMs up to 1000 rpm. Right before the last green light is lit on the Christmas Tree, I press the gas to the floor and let off the brake at the same time. You want to launch as hard as you can without any wheel spin.

here you are launching a RCSB with a blower, yet everyone else on this forum is constantly complaining about how you CANNOT launch a stock crew cab truck (5.0L) without blowing the tires off... thanks for not being a forum ricer!

Good review, and nice truck! Im curious to see if you can get a 11.99 with a tire and hard launch. Probably need a converter though to leave high enough? It will probably be in the 12.10s but that is cookin! I mean a lot of us have 80s and 90s cars that struggled to run that lol.

how much boost and is it a p1?
