Does plasti dip actually hold up vigorous car washes and long term driving without peeling or chipping?

I have a lithium grey as well and was looking at those emblems. I am going to get them now for sure. I also wanted to plasti-dip the side emblems like you did. How did you paint them? Did you take them off and paint them of paint them on the truck?

I chuckle every time I see someone say "I painted it with Plasti-dip". No, no you didn't. You sprayed rubbery coating out of a can onto your (insert inanimate object). I have used it before and its fine as well is Peelcoat. It's just not paint and you dont "paint" with it.

How do you get the oval emblems off and how are the new ones attached?

i dont get it.. if you paid $$$ for the ovals why not have the side ones painted as well?

Imo, the plastidip seems a little cheesy compared to the painted ones.

The front grill assembly comes off, fairly easily to acess the Ford Oval, and it is basically bolted on.
The rear is accessed through the access panel on the inside if the talgate, and is attached with foam sticky tape and clips, the new one simply clips back in.

The plastidip was merly an experiment, and as soon as the weather warms up a bit here, i will be painting some new fender badges that were ordered from my local dealership body color and installed. The money of the new emblems is not an issue, nor was the money for the ovals, as they were done the way i wanted them, and were easily afforded. His price was the prep, paint and included the new emblems and shipping, and IMO that was a fair price for what i was looking for.
