Curious as to the temperature it was when you did the job over the weekend.

That's more than likely what the issue was/is, i am here in Texas, but it was only about 40 degrees in the morning when i started, and probably about 50 degrees or so when "complete"
I am ok with em for now, until the new badges get here, and i can prep and correctly paint them body color to acheive what i am looking for.

Definitely the problem. Look I've gone through quite a lot of plasti-dip in the last 8 years and what I can tell you for sure is that it needs to be warm or even hot to use.

Step 1: get yourself a bucket of HOT water and submerge all the cans and weigh them down so they stay under.

Step 2: heat the surface. I like to use a heat gun to warm the surface before the first coat... not so much for the following coats i'm always afraid to melt the dip lol.

You'll notice the cans, when heated by the hot water bath, spray a lot more like a conventional spray paint and much less like sputtering baby.

Make sure your first coat is nothing more than a dusting, as well as the second coat. in the cold i usually end up doing a third the same way and then coming in with a medium fourth coat and a wet fifth coat. Usually does the trick. More coats means it comes off easier when it's time to peel as well.

Let me know how it goes!

(this thread made me buy emblem stickers... cheaper and dont feel like replacing the ovals yet lol.

There are stickers for the fender emblems as well. I had my fender emblems PTM and while I love them, it was just too much. I purchased emblem stickers and they are just what I was looking for.

I am sure it wont be permanent......but it did rid it of chrome! It gives it a 3D look now, which I like. Plus it now has the proper trim level making her proud! I promise, its the last thing that will get a sticker on it.
