2016 F150 Sirius Satellite Radio - Audio Cuts Out/No Signal ***SSM 46016***

Super Easy and my truck has the twin panel moonroof. On both A-pillar grab handles, pop off the screw covers. Remove both bolts, gently pull - it'll pop off.
Remove both sun visors - there is a bolt cover right where it is hinged, pull on the windshield side and it'll pop off. Bolt there and then where the sun visor locks into the clip.
Once those are off, give the headliner a small pull from next to the windshield and it'll drop down off the magnets - Antenna bolt is right there. Undo the bolt and unclip the wire harness and lift it out - 30 minutes max to do. Only need a socket set.

Just google the part number, I bought it from AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake - they had the best price.

I sat with the service tech using my VIN and could not see this SSM in their computer system. I ordered/replaced the antenna using the part number from the SSM and it works perfectly in the Kansas City metro This had been the most disappoint experience with Ford/service dept as I had brought my truck in twice for the same issue and been dismissed over a $25 part.

A suggestion, take a printout of the SSM to the general manager, along with your receipt. Talk to GM to see if they will either refund or offer you an in-house credit as a courtesy. If he/she turns you down, mention you will have to contact Ford Customer Service about the service department's inability to locate the SSM.
In checking the thread, it looks like you have been dealing this dealer since May of 2017 on this. Just find another dealer who knows what they are doing. You are under no obligation to have your service done at the selling dealer.

Last Thursday I took my truck in for this complaint. After I was told that the tech could not duplicate, I told them to look it up. Service writer tried to make me believe that the bulletin had only been out since January 31st.
Supposedly the antenna is now on order.

You might want to find another dealer before he tries to tell you the muffler bearings in your truck are worn out and the truck will stall on the interstate.
You can buy your own muffler bearings here: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...products_id=48
or you can just grease them yourself.
Here is the original post, with date, that started this thread. Note the effective date. 18 months ago. Also, the part number listed has been superseded several times.

2016-2017 Expedition And Navigator Built On Or Before 08/12/2016 And 2016 F150 Built On Or Before 08/09/2016 - Sirius Satellite Radio - Audio Cuts Out/No Signal
Some 2016-2017 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built on or before 08/12/2016 and 2016 F150 vehicles built on or before 08/09/2016 equipped with Sirius satellite radio may exhibit an intermittent concern where the audio cuts out and the radio displays a No Signal message while driving in open sky conditions in certain locations in your area. This may be due to interference with cellular phone tower signals. If a vehicle displays this condition near cellular phone towers, replace the audio unit antenna with part number GL1Z-10E893-AC on Expedition/Navigator and HL3Z-10E893-AA for F150.
