2016 F150 Platinum 5.0 Boss HALO 0-3" Coilover Leveling kit W/ICON UCAs
Folks, I recenlty added a 0-3" adjustable BOSS HALO Coilover leveling kit and ICON upper control arms. In the rear I added 2" BOSS HALO shocks to firmly plant the rearend due to the decreased weight of the aluminum frame. I am wanting to move up to 285/65R/20 tires. In my reading of other posts I saw a gentlemen with a mean ride from up North (Ontario), that is running basically the same set up regarding lift and tire size on OEM 20" wheels, but he mentioned he added a 3" block on the back end....looks great, but my goal was to gain a level ride, it would seem if you add a 3" block on the back end it would put me back into almost the same situation as stock...helpe me out if you can!

You'd be correct. I'm running that exact set up.
I have 285/65R20 with 2.5" Icon front and 3" block in the rear. I had stock rims till about a month ago.
I wouldn't run any higher than 2.5" on the front.
The truck sat about .25-.5" higher in the front with just the 2.5" shocks.
Once I added some offset with new rims they rubbed something awful.
The truck has about .5" rake with the 3" block now, if you maybe find a Raptor block that may look more level. I think they are 2.5".
I added two pics. The first is with smaller tires but you can see how it sits a bit higher in the front. Unfortunately I got the 3" blocks when I got the larger tires so I don't have any pics with the larger tires and no block.

Logan, thanks for the input. The more I research the more I realize I should have gotten the rear blocks as part of initial package. Stage 3 Motorsports carries a Boss rear block set that ranges from 2/2.5/3", so you have options. Think a 2.5" to 3" is what I may go with.
Cheers

If you added 2.5" of lift (level) in the front and did not raise the rear you would be close to level. Probably still have .5" of rake. No reason to add a block in the rear.
With the stock rims you can run the 285-65-20 without rubbing.

idrive, my only concern in going with the 285-65-20's is the UCAs eat space. With the stock 275-55-20's I have about 1" from the UCA to the inside sidewall. Believe I will need some spacers to make the puzzle all fit. I have not utilized spacers before so another research and learning event.
Thank you for the feedback!

When you add the wheel spacers and the 285-65-20 tires with the amount of lift you are looking at, be prepared to make modifications of some sort to the crash bars. You can read on here about how guys have removed, swapped left & right, trimmed, or spread them with a porta power. I chose the spread option and it worked well.
