My TA has a slight offset steering wheel as well. I think that's a normal design.

Yes they do. But when the line is shutdown (like at lunch) there is no requirement to go to the break room. Likely they keep games going through breaks, so keeping it at their work station allows them to pick back up where they left off.
When I did the factory tour I saw a group of workers at lunch eating KFC sitting in the empty shell of a truck (no carpeting, no interior, just the cab). I could have snapped a picture (against the rules, by the way) and tried to make a case out of it. Or I could realize that not everyone wants to go to the cafeteria and there was no harm in what they were doing.

Back to the point of the thread: most customer surveys indicate that bigger cup holders are what customers want. Yes it has some down fall for smaller, top heavy containers (like 16.9 oz water bottles when full). But in general it is easier to accommodate smaller containers in larger cup holders than large containers in smaller cup holders.
