2016 F150 Group Buy - SoCal

I was thinking with a lot of us wanting a 2016 and the fact there are no rebates, prrerhaps we could all score a good deal via a group buy.

Anyone know a good dealer in SoCal that would agree to order 2016s for significantly below invoice - north of $1500 below? Perhaps with enough of us a dealer will bridge and give I good pricing?

Ford doesn't need a group buy to move product.

Group buys are for small time manufacturers that are constrained buy cost to make small batches.

true but maybe if a large group all made buys through the same dealer they could get somewhat of a discount. Don't the dealers get special incentives for certain sales volume?

This would be a giant cluster...I wouldn't want to try and coordinate it. Or be involved in any way.

The dealer would coordinate it or perhaps offer a exclusive discount to those on this forum, perhaps contingent upon having so many orders committed. No one on this forum would do the work. Someone on here has to have some connections at a dealer to ask.

Calm down people. Haha

Screen name certainly fits the comment

But he's right. They're going to sell them regardless.

A group buy is for a "hey look I designed this thing and it will cost $10,000 to manufacture 100 of them and I can't front all that money."

The dealer isn't going want to coordinate something like that either. If it was multiple trucks for one buyer it wouldn't be a big deal - having multiple trucks for multiple buyers in many different locations with each truck being a custom order... :help: I doubt you'll find any dealer willing to get into that cluster... But, I could be totally wrong - Good Luck!

2016 F-150 Lariat Sport 2.7L Magnetic Gray 502A

I contacted a local (Houston, TX) dealer about this truck and he said he could take my order today, for $200 over invoice, and it should be here in December/January.

Some people just don't see it from a business point of view. To a dealership a group buy is a company buying 20 trucks to replace a fleet. Not a bunch of random people, with differing financial situations, trying to save a few bucks. Any dealership is going laugh and tell you to come back when your serious.
