2016 F150 emergency brake dragging
I have a 2016 SCREW XLT 6.5' 4X4, and recently started having issues with the emergency brake not fully releasing. My driveway is a small hill, so i set the brake every time I park. At first i was thinking it could just be the brutally cold weather we are having, but after driving a bit with the brake dragging, it still wont release. I would think the heat generated there would eliminate any issues caused by the cold. Had it at the dealer saturday and they "adjusted" the brakes, it worked for a day and is now doing it again. Any thoughts?

My issue is continuing to plague me. Truck has been at the dealership twice now for this issue, and the last time they told me a pin in the ebrake adjuster was out of alignment. a few days later and my problem is back. This morning there was a little bit of snow/ice on my driveway and i needed to us the diff lock to get it down to the street. It required about 1/4 - 1/3 throttle to move it. another thing i noticed is if i pull forward 2 or 3 feet, it loosens up. Put it back in reverse and it moves a few feet, theres a thud and it locks again. This still only seems to happen in cold weather, but i shouldn't have to worry about the temperature when using my ebrake. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or have any ideas?
And in a new development, all of the locks on my door froze today for the first time. Still haven't got the recall notice, but told the dealer when i spoke with them this morning.

Mine does the same thing. I'm going try to have the dealer clean and lube all the cables and lines. Pretty much anything below 30 will lock my brake on. When they "adjusted" mine it really just seemed like they made it looser than it should be to the point where it barely holds.

Had a very similar issue with my E brake. Was staying on, but not much rolling resistance. Enough to get a burning smell. The pedal was really hard to depress. On the second visit to the dealer for this, they replaced all the E brake cables, problem fixed. Just like my locks, there was moisture build up in the brake cables and they were freezing.

I was always told to never use the parking brake in freezing conditions because it could freeze in place. However I live in the south and this is usually never a problem, except this week.

Yeah. This is a parking brake and I’d like to be able to use it when i park lol!
From the last time mine stuck it was free from the pedal to the split. It was frozen somewhere on the back of the truck
