2016 F150 - can't get hood open!
8000 miles on Platinum EB...only needed to get into hood 2 other times, and remembering it being a chore...but I got in, and forgot about it. Today, went to fill windshield washer fluid, and can't get it open at all. I pull the hood release, and you hear nothing...no solid click, the hood doesn't move...you just hear the tension of the cable. Then I go to the front and try to pull it up...no go. If I push down VERY slightly, I heard the click of the locking latch closing it??? Could it be a cable issue? Sounds like maybe a warranty issue - couldn't locate anything though. Thoughts?
Under normal operation, should you see the hood go ajar? And I would guess have plenty of room to slide your hand in to push the release lever to open...?

Definitely needs to be adjusted. But if you need to get under the hood, you might be able to release it through the grill using something long and slender. I had to do that on another vehicle, but it wasn’t a Ford.

My 16 Lariat does it also, have to lubricate hood latch every couple months. When it happens on mine if I pull up on the hood forcefully it releases. After I lube it, works fine for about 3 months.
