We put the truck on backwards to keep the weight off the tongue. Used a good WDH.

It was closer to 11,000lbs I guess

Trailer - 3,500lbs
Truck - 7,500lbs
Guessing is dangerous. Bathroom scale, 2 pieces of pipe and some wood and you know your tongue weight.

Agreed...one time deal, spur of the moment situation.

2011 6.7L PSD died. Talk about buying a first model year....

like others here I was concerned about a brand new 10 sp transmission and all that can go wrong in that initial offering. Didn't feel the potential gains were worth it and therefore went with the 2016. I did think long and hard about t though. tough choice.

Same here. Decided the risks weren't worth the gains. Bought a 2016 in Oct. No regrets so far (although the 2017 3.5 Eco isn't out yet to compare).

Agreed. Had a silverado with new eight speed. Many problems and no real solutions. Traded back into ford for this reason. From now on I will only buy a powertrain that's been out for at least two years

Just came across this video comparing the '16 to the '17. He actually points out a couple of (minor) things I wasn't aware of.

One nice thing is the BLIS actually includes the trailer when towing. Nice.
