EVRY SINGLE DAY I appreciate the stuff that came with the lariat that I wouldn't have got. The push button start, the leather, the cooled seats (yes mine work), the BLIS, the spray bed liner, the led rear lights, the productivity screen (I love the productivity screen so much more than I thought I would, the auto temp control, the fact it auto controls the heat or cooling on remote start...I could go on and on. Keep in mind some features my lariat had can be had ok xlt but most didn't.

Taking into account the deal I got $35 vs. $42 OTD and that it's a model year newer (which meant sync 3, and PTBA, I only paid about $3k more for it all. Way worth it. Just my option since I was the OP and now made the decision.

Anyone on the fence....GET THE LARIAT!!
Told ya so...at least twice, as you were going through your manic due diligence!!

My wife broke my ***** about us even buying a truck. Now she is slowly starting to like it and is wishing it had the nice leather and remote start that her Lincoln has!

I'm a realtor, $200 a month is a big difference for people on a house that costs well into 6 figures and tends to INCREASE in value over time. I don't care how well a vehicle holds it's trade in value they ALWAYS decrease in value. PERIOD.
Again, I don't disagree that $200/month is significant. However, we can predict the future to an extent. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...9/#post4427449

When I bought my FX4 in 2013 I originally was going to buy an STX! I spent $11,000 more and don't regret it one bit. I looked at a 2015 XLT, but I no I couldn't live with all the missing options so I'll have to wait a couple more years and get a lariat or platinum!

those are a couple other things to consider.

Why not go with a 15 Lariat? You can get one off a lot and save $5000 off the best deal you can get on a 16 at the moment.
You might not save as the finance term and % interest might be more then a 2016 @ Ford 0-.99% financing so get them to run the numbers both years

I have owned three Lariats since 2001 and I have loved every one of them and my 16 is just icing on the cake.

What I do miss is the automatic temperature controls and the leather interior. I don't miss those things 15k worth though.

You can always upgrade the interior to leather and protect the seats with aftermarket seat covers. I like the perforated leather clazzio seat covers. If you're in the market to upgrade your interior - check them out on truckleather.com or maybe ebay,
