I highly doubt I could get a lariat with all the bells and whistles this has for just a few thousand more but I guess I could be wrong. I guess we will see if the global warranty I got will cover any other expenses if there are any.
Seems to be a bunch out there for that and under. https://www.cars.com/for-sale/search...62520&zc=20872

But what is done is done chalk it up to experience. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

Some really nice ones for $40k. https://www.cars.com/for-sale/search...62520&zc=20872

Well. If it gives me more problems maybe I’ll take it to a dealer and see what I can do about trading it in for a new one. I’m sure I’ll tale a hit but I don’t think it would be a huge one.

Thanks for for the help and advice

You are going to take a hit but it's a valuable hit. Download autotrader and start searching for what you want. Find the exact truck with the options you want in the price range you want. Get informed about the deal before you ever pick up the phone. When you go to the dealer unprepared, you will hustled every time. Just the nature of the business.

Update. Ford called today and told me the truck is finished. The catalytic converters where covered under warranty and they said my aftermarket warranty covered all other costs with labor and no questions asked. I’m excited to go pick up the truck and feel what a 3.5 Ecoboost really can do.

Thanks to everyone for advice. At this point I still feel confident in my purchase and for what I bought I got a pretty good deal. The truck was already at my max budget and for some reason finding the truck you want down south here is pretty hard. Tons of them in the Midwest and further west.

Well. I tooted my horn to early in my last post. I ended up having to take the truck back and they for the same problem. They ended up replacing all the plugs because everything they would change one a new cylinder would missfire.

They finished the truck yesterday and it is driving so much better now so hopefully that will be it.
