Man that does suck.

That's crazy that they literally wasted a day by bickering over a $60 tank of gas.

They need to remove and closely inspect the ceramic casings of the spark plugs for cracks.

well... they drained the fuel this morning and refilled it and still was doing same exact thing. from what i was told the crank position sensor data was within spec but the tech said the data just didnt look right so he went ahead and replaced it and boom problem solved.... 5 days later.

Thanks for bringing this up, it's yet another thing I need to check with my dealership on before I order my 2016. I'm used to just dropping my car off and being given a loaner for the time it takes them to do service whether its 2 hours or 2 days, not some rental crap. I was assuming the Ford dealership would do the same by default just given the price of the truck, but now you have me wondering how they handle that sort of stuff.

They had so many cars in the shop that all there loaner vehicles were out so that's why I got a rental. They had a f250 come in today that they were going to let me use til my truck was fixed but I guess calling ford corporate last night and telling them my story kinda put some fire in their a** and they got it fixed. I was told there is a big recal on the Ford Fiesta I want to say about the transmissions so they had a ton of them in for repair

Is this sensor similar to the camshaft sensor? What does it do? Regulate fuel injection?

That is what makes a master mechanic.

yeah, good luck with that! When I moved from Audi to Ford last year with my 2014 FX4 that was one of the first culture shocks for me .

Where Audi had always given me a loaner, it is a concept that does not exist with either of the only 2 Ford dealerships within 40 miles of me! Big issue from my perspective, particularly given how many issues my 14 has had that are leading to its replacement and has meant a lot of double trips to drop it off/pick it up

Adding insult to injury was when i found that they didn't even wash it when it was in for work!! WTF???? At least I have now cracked the code on that one. It seems you have to ask for them to do that as they only have one guy washing them!...

Like going back in time.....

Unfortunately since both these Ford dealerships are like something out of the 60s, and next closest is probably 100 miles away, not too many options. heres hoping the 16 is more problem free...
