ive driven 26 ft trucks that didn't do this so it's not "a big vehicle" or anything like that. Going in Friday for oil hopefully they figure it out
finnaly fixed after tech and me went for test. Steering wheel wasn't straight out of spec by a few tenths of a degree. Finally I don't have to fight my steering wheel!

Called my local dealer, the 17E01 is a PCM reprogramming to handle an issue where the check engine light might not illuminate properly when a certain emissions fault is found.

Default Any advice

I'm new here and just looking for some advice. I bought a new 2016 f150 XLT 2.7 ecoboost 45 days ago. I drove the truck for two and a half weeks. The truck start blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust and it is having the cyclinder heads replaced. I have now been out of the truck for two and half weeks. The truck only had 1800 miles on it! I have been waiting on a water pump gasket that is on back order. I work for the dealership and i feel like i am being treated worse than a customer. Is there any computation I should go after through for. I have heard about the buy back program, I just don't know anything about it. Any advice is welcome.

Thank you.

Oh no! Let’s see what I can do to turn this situation around for you. Send me a private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll get to work on some options to help.

Thank you for responding. The information is listed below. As I work for the dealership I really thought they would just take me out of the truck. But i just got word today they are are still waiting on back order parts and have been for a while. They hope to start work on it tomorrow. The service department has been good to me. But they cant work on the truck with out parts. At this point I have no faith in the 2.7 ecoboost. If I have to stay in this perticualar truck it will not be for as long as I would have wish to.

Awesome that customer support is helping! I will say that asking the company you work for when you need repairs, they will take advantage of that situation and put you as a low priority. I worked for a boat dealer one time and when it came to repairs on my boat I had to take it somewhere else because all I saw were customers getting way more priority and mine just sat there.

Default Waste of time

Well I finally got my truck back today I was out of the truck for 23 days. I spoke with Ford they told that there is nothing they are willing to do to compensate me. They told me that if i didn't like that to read the back of my owners guide. I picked up the truck, the dealership said they cleaned it. The truck is filthy, it had no 30 miles of gas left, there are swirl marks all in the paint from yhem using a brush to clean the truck. I would think you woukd change the oil after replacing the cyclinder heads on a motor. I am waiting on the truck to cool down before i check but there is no sticker for a change date and they didn't reset the oil life. At this point I am so over the whole situation. If the oil hasnt been changed i plan on contacting the owner of the dealership seeing as how i work there. I will never buy another ford product as long as i live.
