Anything white in my part of the country is assumed (at a distance anyway) to be a gas field service truck or a municipal utility truck. So it would rank about dead last in terms of color choice.

Over on the Mustang6G.com forum, there is a thread that tracks color preferences of potential Mustang buyers. Of 10 available colors, Magnetic was chosen by over 22% with Guard (dark metallic grey with green hue) preferred by over 25%. So, with nearly 1/2 of Mustang buyers preferring metallic grey tones, I wonder how a similar poll of 2015 F150 buyers would compare.

I've never understood why Ford is stingy on colors for their high-end models.

I paid $250 extra for Red Candy Metallic on my '10 Lariat, but if I could have gotten that color on the Platinum, that is what I would have bought.

Ford left some money on the table there.

As for white, or any variation thereof, no way. For years, my work-supplied truck was white. Now I don't work, and I don't drive a white anything.

Ford, why are all F-150 colors not available on the higher end trucks? What is the harm?

I agree on the white comments.. White is classy and looks cool in the storm trooper scheme.. But I just can't have it in my stable. I'd love to see some wild colors like metallic lime, yellow, race red metallic, BRIGHTER blue flame, etc offered with the sport package.

Hopefully magnetic doesn't look purple-ish when in-direct sunlight hits it. One of the reasons I dropped gray from my choices was I only liked the shade of color in certain lighting conditions.

I used to be a black and chrome guy but am absolutely sick to death of trying to keep a black truck clean in New England. White currently and then I will alternate between silver and white as they are the easiest colors to keep clean.

Im partial to Carbiou but most likely get a 2016 Magnetic. I just hope the new colors are not too metallic. Current levels are fine and I hate to stick out when driving up in the sticks.

Judging from the dozens of Magnetic pics of 2015 Mustangs on the Mustang6G forum, it appears that the Ford's Magnetic color is somewhere between Ingot Silver and Sterling Grey. I suspect it will prove to be lighter and more metallic than Sterling Grey, especially in bright sunlight. At the present, it remains my choice for 2015 in my western Oregon locale as it definitely requires less washing/waxing to remain attractive in our marine climate.

Sterling gray is the easiest to keep clean. I go months without washing and it looks clean. I drive in mud daily too.

Is sterling grey different from silver?
I would like the gun metal grey but that's dark or is that what is called sterling?
