Hey guys I upgraded my 4.2" to the 8" myford touch with Nav and installed the SD reader but don't have the connector for the back of the unit:





I need to know where each of the 12 pins go. I believe they are all in the APIM connector. Someone at ford gave me a wiring diagram which I believe is from a 2016 or a 2015 without SD reader because there is only 7 wires: Power / Ground and the rest audio (probably for line in) I'm assuming the other 5 pins are probably for the SD. Anybody have a service manual for a 15 with the media hum wiring?

For anyone else that needs it.
Pin 1 and 12 are power and gound respectively, the rest are for line in. The usb ports nor the sd reader will work unless you add the power and ground.

I have the same media hub can someone tell me which is pin 1 and pin 12? Any help will be greatly appriciated.

So I found pins 1 and 12 I believe and added power and ground to them. But it still does not charge or read the sad card. Any ideas? Thank you.

If you look closely with a light the pin numbers are marked. Once you have ground and power all that's left is to make sure the usb cord is to the back of the radio. I can't remember if its MFT or Sync 3 but one if not both, have 2 usb ports in the back and you need to plugged into the right one.

what did you use to connect ground and power?

I have the conversion connector and i5 has a power and ground just for that. On the plug(oem)that came with my media hub pin 1 is red and pin 12 is grey. But next to that is. Black cable can it be that it’s pin 11 instead? Thanks for the help.

Ok so I definitely have the right pin for power and ground and they were tested. I connect the usb in back and 5hdn 8 connect it to the back of the AIPM which only has one usb connection. The oem usb cabl3 that came with the hub I had to modify to fit in the AIPM it is on there tight. There still is no connection with the sad card as it says insert sad card. And there is no power to charge my phone out of the usb. What am I missing or doing wrong? I am very familiar with car electronics any help will be appriciated.
