Default 2015 led switchover

Hi, so I switched my high and low beam bulbs to gtr led's on my 2015 and my daytime running lights do not work now, I can go through the settings and turn them off and then on again and they do turn on " with it in gear " but they turn back off again, any suggestions or ideas on why? Thanks

The PWM used to dim the halogen bulbs as DRL's most likely clashes with the driver in the LED's. IF Ford uses linear voltage dimming instead of PWM the voltage might be lower than the minimum voltage the LED drivers require to turn on. Are the LED's supposed to be DRL capable/compatible?

Probably not, I never checked into that, I'm sure you hit the nail on the head, I never thought of there being less voltage for the dtrl's, thanks for the reply.

I think there a some LED bulbs that will operate as DRL's but you need to look for it, and they are usually more $$$.

As headlights did the GTR's give better distance?

Yeah the distance is a little better with the dims but the spread is way better more clean, the brights are unbelievably brighter, I just ordered the fog lights.

Did you install these led bulbs in the stock halogen headlights or the led projectors?

It's the stock halogen light, I got the gen h11 low beam, gen 1 9005 high beam and h10 fog lights, the lights are way better, I would spend the money on the gen 2 low beams, I contacted gtr and they told me you lose your dtr, that's the price you pay for brighter lights, on coming traffic does not bright me either.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. So there's no need to install a ballast or anything? It's all plug and play? Do you happen to have any pics of the lights at night/day?

Yeah, it's all plug and play, with the gen 1 lights there's an external driver in line, but for twenty dollars more you can get gen 2's with 3600 lumens vs 2200 in the gen1's, I'm not knocking the gen 1's their still way better than the halogens.
