And I'm sure there's issues with Benz' as well. There's issues with every item that's ever been produced no matter if it's $0.50 or $500,000 The fact is...Ford is probably close to 60,000+ trucks produced at this point. On these forums, you're probably hearing about >1% of those trucks but maybe 25% of trucks belonging to members are having issues of some sort (leaking moonroof, auto tailgate release, rear armrest, door alignment, etc.) So in other words, we're hearing about a slight amount of trucks produced but it seems like a lot more.

That's the biggest apples to oranges comparison I've heard in awhile.
A ford is a ford if you want seamless panels and gaps and better craftsmanship you're looking the wrong market. Plain and simple. Production line vehicles will never be perfect and that's what these are, made for the masses

What ever.
Any new vehicle, be it a Hyundai or Fiat should not leak water. No one is saying anything about body lines and seamless panels. I could care less about that ****.
But a leaky sunroof? That's inexcusable on any brand new vehicle and these F150's aint chump change.

When it comes to cars/trucks price doesn't mean top quality control. Range rovers and land rovers only recently started to have good quality control and most of the cars start at the cost of the platinum. For years people had crap breaking left and right the air suspension failed in some thing like 20% of the LR4's. Jaguar had the same issue because the cars were hand assembled leaks and things shorting out were standard issues until they automated their systems. BMW is currently notorious for electrical and mechanical issues. My friend has a bmw coupe it was 120k he has nothing but problems with it he's trying to get bmw to take it back.
For the volume ford does with the f150 the quality control is probably one of if not best in the industry. Just because a platinum or King ranch is produced on same line as an xlt doesn't mean any less of the quality of materials and craftsmanship. The ford employees from what I've witnesses and also the videos I've seen those people put as much effort and pride in assembling an xlt as they do a platinum. They assemble their cars and trucks as if they were going to put their family in each one of those cars.

I haven't noticed this on mine and just went through a car wash this morning. However, I didn't have the sunshade open to notice, but I'll take a look to see if there's any moisture. Also, we had a really heavy downpour a week ago and I drive it all weekend on a long road trip and didn't notice any water coming in.
I hope it's a simple fix your dealer can handle.

Did you guys check the rubber seal that surrounds the moonroof?
I remember my sister's Chevy had the same issue and the issue was that since it was hot out, the rubber seal expanded and sagged a bit. When she closed the moonroof, the seal caught up in the moonroof and misaligned about 3-4 inches causing water to get through.
I'd give the seal a good check. Maybe the glue didn't hold and come undone a bit which can easily happen in cold climates.

If you're not expecting to have a single issue with a brand new from the ground up vehicle made by an American manufacturer then it's time for you to either buy a Corolla or take the bus.
