Pretty much anything over 3 days you own it. At least in most states and trade you will get bent over.

I bought is 1/29 and have put less then 200 miles on it. It was raining out today so I decided to take a look at it after reading this fourm. Makes me irritated they would build a truck that leaks especially when you want to keep it for 10 year+.

UPDATE: Got my truck back yesterday from the dealer after 15 days with the new ALL NEW 2 Panel installed. Service manager told me it still leaks and they adjusted everything until they got it to not leak as much......it still leaks the same as when I took it in. The service manager handed me the paper we have all seen stating from Ford's "engineers" that this roof was designed to leak and it is not reccomended to take it through any car washes that use pressure. I asked for a number to Ford, I plan to call and express my frustrations with the "design" and that I would have never thought about purchasing a vehicle with a sunroof that was designed to leak into a drain tray. Also I only had my truck 9 out of 31 days in January, other times it was at the dealer.

For all the guys on this forum blasting us 2015 owners about buying the first year listen up.......the service manager and the dealership manager told me they took a 2016 F150 Platinum and sprayed it and it too was leaking. Guess waiting doesnt keep your roof from leaking.

Looks like our best alternative is to call Ford, 1-800-392-3673, and express our concerns.

P.S. if you do not want the possibility of water in your new truck or condensation all over the inside after rain.... don't waste the $1600.00 just to make your truck an F-1LEAKY.

Many of of have had numerous vehicles made by different manufacturers and they do not leak water into the vehicle, if they do, common sense tells you it's not right, a problem and or defective design! Cheap ineffective designs save manufacturers money but cost the consumer!

If a manufacturers doesn't own up to an obvious problem or defect, and attempts to confuse the owner with BS instead of stating yes we have a problem and dealing with it, that's really sad!

This is what i was handed. I think it is funny, I have videos of my truck dripping innside from a "rainstorm" that the "Wet Seal" is supposed to keep out. The water is just "cascading" over my seal but it doesnt prevent entry. We all know this is a load of crap, Ford needs to step up and fix this! Hell everytime i take my truck in i find a screw loose or a panel not popped fully in and i end up having to finish the work the dealer didnt. Guess we will have to come up with a fix ourselves on this forum; ordered 2- 24 oz. cans of Oxford White Flex Seal today.

I don't have experience with the newer ford trucks, but it took ford 6 years (89-95) to finally get their automatic transmission right (e4od). Sooo.... Yea, not surprised an issue in 2015 is still there in 2016. But if you have nothing better to spend your hard earned money on than a pickup truck with a moonroof, you can probably afford the time wasted on hopelessly trying to get ford to solve this issue for you. So best of luck to all those having this issue. I really do hope ford finds a viable solution for your leaking moonroofs.

My 2016 Platinum (with moon roof) is built and awaiting delivery. I have been reading though all of these posts. If you do a simple google search on moon roof wet seal problems it becomes very obvious this is a standard industry practice and yes many manufacturers are dealing with issues. So this is not unique to Ford or the F-150s. Like me, most of us were probably just not aware of how these things really work...

Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have any problems.

This is my leak. Leaks like this on both the passenger and driver side. Leaking where the 2 panels meet in the middle. This is a mild rain, nothing crazy.
