Default 2015 Leaking Moonroof

Is anyone else out there experiencing a leaking moonroof. I went through a car wash today and the moonroof leaks on the passenger side next to the part of glass that does not move. It even leaks before it comes into contact with the high pressure water jets.

Thanks for your input.

Why does everyone expect such perfection?
"Should never have left the factory this way"(actually sounds disgustingly entitled when you say it out loud).
You guys aren't buying Benz's and if it's build quality you want that's what you'll have to resort to. Yes you spent a lot of money but the bottom line is it is still a mass production vehicle and there are flaws.
The 09-11's at least had a major leak at the high mount light and that was 100x worse than that, stained headliner, tons of water, etc.
I'm not saying don't get it brought in and fixed, but the way so many of these forum members expect absolute perfection from a production line vehicle amazes me. You bought a ford, not a Ferrari.
Hope the dealer gets you a fix

How did this even pass the water test at the factory?

I didn't want it but the truck I found already had it installed. Mine does not leak and I kinda like it. I leave the shade open but never open the roof itself. I'm sure the dealer can fix it. As has already been mentioned it should never have left the plant that way.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

You could buy a very nice Benz for the money that is being spent on these trucks.

Exactly!

Your vehicle is, on average, the 2nd most expensive item you will buy in your lifetime. To think that you should only expect a "mediocre" vehicle is BS.
I'd hate to hear what the other guy thinks about open heart surgery at a University Hospital.

And I'm sure there's issues with Benz' as well. There's issues with every item that's ever been produced no matter if it's $0.50 or $500,000

The fact is...Ford is probably close to 60,000+ trucks produced at this point. On these forums, you're probably hearing about >1% of those trucks but maybe 25% of trucks belonging to members are having issues of some sort (leaking moonroof, auto tailgate release, rear armrest, door alignment, etc.)

So in other words, we're hearing about a slight amount of trucks produced but it seems like a lot more.

That's the biggest apples to oranges comparison I've heard in awhile.
A ford is a ford if you want seamless panels and gaps and better craftsmanship you're looking the wrong market. Plain and simple. Production line vehicles will never be perfect and that's what these are, made for the masses
