Just curious - what kind of MPG are you seeing with the EcoBoost? Do you drive mostly city or highway?

I'll preface my answer with some background info:

During this time of year, my "winter blend" fuel includes ethanol and I see a 4 mpg decrease in all my vehicles. Specifically, I was commuting in my wife's 2014 Fusion Limited with 2.0L Ecoboost engine for about 6 months during the summer, fall, and winter. On the same daily commute, gas mileage in the Fusion dropped from 31mpg combined to 27 mpg combined.

Now that we are deep into the winter blend, I think that will negatively effect the initial F150 mileage. I hope to see a 3-4mpg increase once spring rolls around.

With that said, I'm currently at about 750 miles on my F150 (3.5L EB, SCrew, Loaded, 4x4).

The first 500 miles (first tank'ish) was 17.5 mpg combined, with no use in 4WD.
The next 250 miles (second tank) is currently about 18.2 mpg combined, with some use in 4WD.

My commute is a 20 mile one-way mixed stop-and-go and highway (also sometimes stop-and-go).

Once the truck is broken in, I hope to be 20-21mpg combined. We'll see.

That's actually better than I expected, given winter gas and a new motor. Those are (IMO) pretty solid numbers for a loaded, SuperCrew 4x4. Thanks for sharing.

Very well done. Most appreciative of the excellent pics and review. You have all of us envious. My 2015 Platinum should show up around the end of February.

Can I ask why you got the regular axle (non locking), I am looking at one on the lot with a regular axle & was wondering if you have any issues with it.

I thought about the same thing when I was doing research to buy mine. I figured with the type of driving I do, traction control was enough to negate the locking diff.

I may be wrong, but it made sense at the time. I still got the locking diff because thats all they had when I bought it.

MP, I havent seen it discussed in any of the 15 threads! Is there a light yet in the console and glovebox? Not ambient lighting, but a dedicated light! Thanks

WOW

bronze fire is our choice for outside color, but the white simply pops very well
I found it funny they included three presets for the seat and mirror settings, like we are ever going to let two others even think about setting anything, which implies we may actually let some one else make her theirs
the massaging seats is not out there enough
how do they feel
