2015 plat 4500 miles, driving down highway all of a sudden truck won't accelerate, lost power, felt like truck went into neutral. Lulled to the shoulder and truck is making a loud fan noise from front pass turbo and noise frm transfer case, I think. I tried everything to make this POS go, no 4wd, no 2wd, shifts but won't move. Had it towed to ford dealer and will see what happens today.

Any guesses?

Something broke. Happens. Don't see why it is a POS because of this.

Sorry you got left on the side of the road. My guess is you'll be well taken care of under warranty.

Exactly what mine did at 8500. I was able to get mine started again and make it home. Mine needed a turbo assembly replaced. Hope yours is something simple.

Were both these trucks 6 cyl . My father in laws truck did the same thing , so I bought a 5.0

Considering mine has a turbo yes it's a 6. The OP said turbo in his post so it must be a 6 as well.

Mine is in the shop for the 2nd time in two weeks for this issue. After replacement the CEL came on again.

I hope the OP doesn't have the headache I am having.

this happened to me recently and it was the transmission. brand new transmission installed at 4500 miles.

How exactly did you get left stranded? Did Ford Roadside Assistance tell you to bugger off when you called them? Did AAA refuse to answer when you called them? Did <insert name of any wrecking company on the planet> not race to take your money when you called? Did 9*1 hang up on you when you called for help?

You know, sh*t happens. Every single one of us (that's counting ALL car buyers, not just F150 buyers) plays the lottery that their vehicle won't have a mechanical problem. Sometimes stuff breaks. That's why we have the above-mentioned support services, plus warranties.

We're sorry to hear you had a break down (truck or you or maybe both...not sure yet). You've been amazingly fortunate to never have had anything break before, and from the rest of us who have encountered potholes in life....get over it.
