Has anyone upgraded to the aftermarket LED headlights, and does it make a $500 difference?
Before spending money on new bulbs, and the time to replace them, try to adjust them, it is super easy! Pop the hood, use a #2 Phillips screw driver and turn the adjustment clock wise. It is just over each headlight, right there on top. It literally took me 2 minutes to do both! Pull the truck 25 feet from a wall, use tape and mark the top of headlights. Turn it clockwise to lower and adjust each to be the same level, then give it a whirl and see if it's good enough.

I added the Putco Nite White halogen bulbs today, and at first was disappointed it was not a lot better. Then I thought, Hmmm, maybe I need to just lower them a little... Dang, I should have tried this first, maybe saved a couple bucks, and some time! :-)

I also used Putco today, and I do like the whiter light. These are 3500K lumen, so not super white, but pretty decent. I also had to adjust them down a bit, made a huge difference after the adjustment!

Here is a short video on the adjustment. Skip to about 1:15 to get to the meat of it. Pick your year/model and you can see how easy it really is to adjust.

Edit 2: I had the stock hi beams in the fog lights for a week, no issues, and the lens definitely felt hot to the touch. Ordered Putco H10's and put them in, still feels hot to the touch, not much difference by the "hand thermometer". It is a brighter, whiter light however.
