Reason for recalling would be the same. It's a safety issue, only a matter of time before this blows up.

I got the TSB done, and I noticed my front door locks fully extend into the door panel when the vehicle is locked. I never noticed this before. Is that something to do with the TSB or is that how all F150s come from the factory?

so dealer appointment is finally here Friday and will keep it. Can't be much worse.
With temps plummeting apparently tonight I took the truck in today as I wouldn't be able to get the damn doors open in time to get the truck to the dealer if I waited until the morning.

Had a discussion with the service rep who didn't seem too pleased when I was bringing up points from this forum (in terms of the fix not working etc etc)..lol

He said they've had very good success with the latest fix (I left that alone...) but I let him know the real problems would start if it didn't work...the truck has been out just twice in last 5 days
and it's been a real PITA..well no not just a PITA but a huge f**king inconvenience and abominable quality of product by a Co that all I hear on the radio are ads to buy an F150....

Unlock the doors and unscrew the plastic caps a bit. I noticed when the shop foreman was putting my driver's door back together that he spent some time ensuring the cap was screwed onto the lock post the proper amount.

So far I've only seen speculation on this site and nothing from Ford as to the actual cause of this issue. djfllmn seems to know the actual cause or thinks he does.

My 2018 F150 rcsb 5.0 4x was purchased 11/1/18 it just hit 1k miles as I have very short commute. In Nov. Seattle had some high 20* weather drivers door would not stay shut until truck was run for about 15min. to heat cab up. Last couple weeks here in Seattle again snow and 20* weather, again door no worky... My fix Bought a 19 year old Toyota truck with 180k miles for $1k so I had something dependable for driving to work and get more then 12mpg. The doors work great, no funny engine noises, tranny shifts great, heats up twice as quick on cold mornings win win for me. Busy work schedule has kept me from dropping truck off at dealers, but what are they going to do....
