I saw your recommendation in the other thread you started. Just for fun, I am picking up a can on my southern Ozarks trip next week.

Thank you sir. Mine were tightened all the way down for some reason. I guess the mechanic didn't pay attention to that. I only noticed it because the back door lock posts stick up a lot, and I though it was odd the front door lock posts did not.

Last couple weeks here in Seattle again snow and 20* weather, again door no worky... My fix Bought a 19 year old Toyota truck with 180k miles for $1k so I had something dependable for driving to work and get more then 12mpg. The doors work great, no funny engine noises, tranny shifts great, heats up twice as quick on cold mornings win win for me. Busy work schedule has kept me from dropping truck off at dealers, but what are they going to do....
I hear ha. Dropped off my 2018 SCREW for the tailgate inop. today. Same weather, different door. Bowen Scarff at least knew about the door TSB. Good luck.

Well crap. Id posted a few times my doors seemed fixed. After rain and freezing temps and a car wash. They worked great until this morning. My drivers door froze and i had bounce back. It quickly warmed up and started working. Don't beat up on me to bad . But i called my dealer they said let me see what we are supposed to do now. Im going to keep the ball in their court for now. I understand many are having great luck with the ghetto fix. And i might end up going that route.

Bummed for sure!

You're welcome! In my case, I watched as the shop foreman took his time to ensure the lock posts were all sticking up the proper amount, and all the same. It didn't hurt that the service manager was standing right next to him. This dealer REALLY wants their customers to be happy.

Default Definitely does not work

I brought my 18 Screw in yesterday for service and it took all day. Went to pick it up this morning and I couldn't get in it. Dealer said they will order new cables.

Mine has been in shop multiple times even tried the ghetto fix, that just made a mess. Nothing worked until the latest TSB. I have tried everything to get them to freeze short of holding the handle open an pouring water in the door. They seem to work just fine now. My auto-fold mirrors froze last night first time ever so I was shocked that my doors weren't frozen this morning.

Hang in there... the CAN Be fixed. Crazy Winter here in STL with cold temps, Snow, Sleet, Snain... and so for, my doors have worked wonderfully. Although, it can be annoying to have to take off my nice warm heavy winter glove to get the door to unlock when I touch it.

Sooo... I normally don't work on Saturdays but on the 9th I covered for one of my coworkers. Left work and drove to the laser wash, temp was about 28°F and sunny. Woke up the next morning and my driver's door refused to unlock! Slid across the seat and decided to see if the door would open from the inside which it did, and it also closed just fine. By mid-morning it had thawed and all was good so I chalked it up to my washing it when it was below freezing. All last week everything worked fine... until this past Sunday when the same thing happened, my driver's door wouldn't unlock, only this time I hadn't washed it the day before as the weather was crappy the day before. I'm going to let this slide seeing as spring is almost here but I will be keeping an eye on this.
