Default 2015 Factory Subwoofer Location

When I bought my truck, the previous owner had wiring setup for some kind of aftermarket subwoofer as well as some tweeters in the A pillars. They took their subwoofer but left the wiring and had it behind the driver side rear seat. It looks to me like they cut out that material back there to fit their driver/box behind the seat.

My question is, where was the factory subwoofer located? Or how does the factory setup produce bass? I have the Sync 2 touch screen on mine, no nav. I'm not sure if the previous guy just unwired the factory subwoofer and it's still somewhere in the truck that I can hook it back up or if it was formerly mounted in the back where I have the large cutout and the piece of cloth covered board back there. The truck has awful bass (read: Almost none) so I really want to fix this but want to get an idea what may have been done already. Honestly the factory system would've probably been ok for me, but I'm sure something is missing or not hooked up.

I don't have any subwoofer on the floor under my rear seats or anything, just the inverter on the passenger side.

Appreciate the pic, so I can tell that's all missing. It's been cut out and there's no trace of that amp or the Sony subwoofer. I think I'll just go with something custom rather than try to track down that OEM one.

Most likely the truck didn't have a factory sub and the previous owner put in a custom sub and took it with him when he sold it. Pop on over to the audio sub forum for ideas on what people put back there. Personally my sub wouldn't fit there, it is under the seat (passenger side), I do have an amp back there.
