2015 F150 Rear Ended
#22
The truck did just fine for what it is. No worse or better than older models.
This one was rear ended while waiting at a light. Car that hit the truck was estimated to be doing 40 mph.

I think we would want it too, frame weakness vs being forgiving in a collision are two different things. The frame bent, the running board looks bent, the truck will likely be wrote off, and the owner should get a new one. But I bet if someone was in it they would walk away better off than the driver of the toyota

Funny coincidence about the two vehicles involved in the collision. Plan on buying myself an F150 this summer and the wife a new 4Runner. Is this some sort of sign...
Regarding the collision, looks like the cab and front of the truck held up well. Unfortunately, the new bed length of that F150 is just too short for any practical use.

Its aluminum, can't the owner just pull the box back out to regular shape by hand?

Some uninformed comments here. The frames are SUPPOSED to buckle, it's what keeps passengers safe. They have crumple zones in them for a reason. It in no way, shape, or form indicates a truck that held up poorly or crumpled like a beer can. I think the truck did extremely well.

Well the rear window popped...but i'm not sure how much frame there actually is behind the axle.
Truck looks pretty crumpled but who knows really how fast the other vehicle was going.
