No it did not fix the problem. My truck was towed to the dealer on Saturday and on Monday I was in my new truck. I was extremely lucky though because they had a truck identical to mine on the lot just come in that morning but it had the bigger gas tank. They ate the price of the gas tank and took care of me. Even if they had fixed the problem if a truck is having computer issues under 50 miles I don't want to keep that for 5 or more years. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Check your states lemon law.

I cannot believe Ford is allowing this to happen, my patience is about to run out!
I want to do what I can to turn this situation around for you, wojo79. Send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll get this into the hands of your regional customer service manager so they can help.

You were lucky cptncorndog!!! my truck has been at the shop for more than two weeks, I asked for a replacement truck on Friday… I waited for this truck since January, a factory order that pretty much took a sh..t.when it finally arrived after 14 weeks of waiting, I enjoyed it for a month and it started to act up. I am trying to remain sane but basing on experience it will be another 14 weeks before I get into a new truck, this sucks!!!

Default Same problem

I am having the same problem with my 2015 f150 platinum. I am at my dealership for the second time. Last time was a week ago, they reset the system and it lasted a day. Things seem to be getting worse. Now losing Ac, power running boards, seat setting memory, Nov screen goes blank. I also waited 3 months to get this truck.

Tell them you want a new truck now

Ask corndog above but losing all systems while driving is a major major safety issue and not one that you're willing to just try again especially since it reappeared after a day

Angry bliss problems

Three weeks at the shop and still nothing… I am not sure but deducting from the information I get from these guys these mechanics at the dealership where my truck is are not very skilled. The way the dealership operates and how no one there don't give a f…k is another issue. Looks like its going to end up in court...

Get smart on NY lemon law and start documenting dates, but before you go ape on the dealer, be polite but firm that you want a replacement or refund without wasting anyone's time with going thru the lemon process

"If the dealer can't fix the defect after 4 attempts, or if you haven't been able to drive the car for 30 days or more because of the issue, you are then entitled to either a replacement vehicle or a refund of your purchase price―your choice"

Similar problem on my 2015 Platinum Screw - this morning while driving it started with blind spot system fault, then within a few minutes received notification that airbags and TPMS were disabled. Also, the following components no longer function after multiple attempts:

- AC including all climate controls won't function
- front window on driver/passenger sides won't go up/down
- side mirrors will not retract
- sync has limited functionality
- no sound from radio
- running boards won't deploy
- trailer detection feature not active

I was towing my car trailer at the time and it turns out that this electrical shutdown completely disabled the trailer connection, so no brake lights, signals, or electric brake support (non functional brake controller). I had to go 40 miles with this condition. I have already towed 3K miles with this trailer and everything has been fine up to this point.

I can deal with a random quirky problem now and then, but this crossed the line of being dangerous. I called my dealer and they said they couldn't look at the truck until Thursday. This thing only has 5K miles on it and was $60K. After reading this post, it would appear that this type of electrical shutdown is hard to diagnose and repair. I ran the vehicle report on Sync and it highlighted the disabled airbags stating "urgent service required". The dealer said we can see you on Thursday.

The truck is sitting in the garage until Thursday and I am really disappointed in the quality of this thing. I am hopeful the dealer will be able to rectify this quickly. I will post the outcomes.

Sorry to hear that buddy!!! I know how You Feel and i wish i could say that they have fixed my truck and everything is great and they will do same with yours... Mine is in the shop for 6 weeks, the field engineer came out and could not correct it. They have replaced some modules God knows what else, with out success. I am really disappointed for the lack of courtesy and lack of interest on behalf of Ford, the dealership drags their feet and Ford is nowhere to be found...pathetic!!!
Good luck with yours, I hope you will be more fortunate in being taken care of than I was...

Call the 800 number, demand that it be towed in and tell them it would be a safety hazard for you to drive in. Take a picture on the tow truck and post everywhere you can on social media.
