Regardless if it is root of problem or not, they should fix the angles. They are not within their own spec's / tolerances. Ford CS will get you all pumped up and make you think all is gonna be good, however the dealer will bring you right back down. Honestly i feel your pain.
I have had no luck at all with my dealer. Can't even get them to check the angles although I know they are out from checking myself. Trans output 4.5° downward , Driveshaft 5.8° downward and Pinion flange 1.7° upward. This gives me a 1.3° operating angle at Trans and 4.1° operating angle at pinion. Service manager said he don't think pinion angle has anything to do with my normal vibration and howling coming from rear-end. The vibration isn't a hard type vibration but more of a fast shimmy feeling. You feel it through the whole truck, mainly in back of seat. I get a headache literally every time i drive the thing.

I got the regional service manager for my parent dealership to look at mine after Ford told me my vibes were within specs. They have had it a week and have the differential tore completely down and from I am being told some parts on order. Hopefully this will fix it.

Any luck getting your angles and vibration corrected? I'm in a similar boat angle wise and will be bringing my truck to the dealer next week. I'd like to do some homework on what the best way to tilt the transmission back up would be, so I can try to talk to them about what to do.

Got my vibrations fixed!! My axle case on the driver side was actually a bit oblong!! They replaced the case, ring, pinion, bearings etc everything. Here is the write up. My guess is a group of bad castings from the axle shop?

That's great news, my truck goes in on the 21st for ring and pinion fix.

Of all the crazy things...
I was washing my truck the other day using the pressure washer wand at the local car wash. I noticed that as I was spraying the top of the tonneau cover (Extang Trifecta), it started vibrating like a drum head to the point where I could hear it rumbling. I touched the truck as I was doing this and I could feel a high frequency vibration. The empty bed seems to amplify the vibration/sound similar to how the hollow in an acoustic guitar does for the strings.
I then started thinking that when driving, the wind causes the tonneau cover to vibrate in the same way the water was. So, I drove the truck with the cover open and it made a difference. I could barely feel any vibration at 50. I then closed the cover and drove it again and the vibration was back.
If you are experiencing a high frequency vibration at certain speeds/conditions and you have a soft tonneau cover, you may want to drive with it open or removed to see if it is the cause. The aluminum body seems to transmit vibrations from different parts of the truck into places that you wouldn't think (like the steering wheel). The Trifecta cover is just tight enough that it oscillates in the wind at a high frequency.
Anyway, I'm going to drive it for a few days now to see if it has indeed improved.

Have same issue with my 2016 FX4 CC LB 4x4. Just got it back from dealer who wouldnt look past my "super aggressive mud tires" causing the issues. Theyre Duratracs. I will not put up with this vibration and its looking like the beginning of another lemon law buyback.

I put together a .pdf on what I found researching this and shims etc. It is kind of long but will have a lot of useful information in it if you want to tackle this on your own. A lot that is out here put together in one place.
I will say this, I made these changes to mine, I am happy that my pinion angles are better. Honestly I still have a slight vibration in the 42-47 range. Not bad, thinking maybe a tire, will find out when I put my winter treads on. Mine was never really that bad of a vibration at all, just thought I could make it better.
Hope this Helps

I will be performing this fix by the weekend. My has been shaking for a long time. I drive a lot and hoping this fixes the problem. I am about to trade it in due to the shaking while highway driving.

Let me start off saying I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but it sounds like a similar problem that I'm having. I have 2015 XLT 4x4 EcoBoost that is making a low rumbling/vibration sound at exactly 50-55mph. It's making the sound you get when your back window is down and the air isn't balanced in your cab, but all my windows are up. It sounds like I have a helicopter over me. Yet, it's as smooth and quite before and after 50-55mph. I have a 1.5" leveling kit and after market wheels with original GoodYear tires. This sound has become more noticeable over the recent months. I bought a set of Method Wheels and I thought they were the problem being lug centric, so I switched them out with another set of Black Rhino wheels that are hub centric. This did not fix the problem. I've had 4 tire balances from different locations and 2 front end alignments. Still have the noise. Took it to Ford and they of course said they don't hear the sound and blamed it on the tires and after market wheels. They did however re-machine the front rotors. I know at this point it's not my rotors, wheels, or alignment. Do you guys have any ideas on what it could be? I'm getting desperate and frustrated. All the tire places I've taken my truck to sans Ford said I have some uneven tire wear, but I feel like I would get the noise at all speeds with that. Could it possibly be uneven door panels, or a drivetrain issue.
Thanks for any suggestions or feedback.

Are you asking if people have ideas other than the 37 preceding pages of conversation? Have you checked your drivetrain angles?
