Went back Saturday and talked to the owner of bill Collins in louisville...Shane collins. Said he couldn't do anything now but would pick it up from my house monday.
So they came and gave me a nice shiny Lincoln luxury car just now. It was the shop Manager who dropped it off personally. He told me engineers were coming to look at it along with now 3 other trucks with the same issue. said he "didn't like what he was hearing." I explained to him that I'm well aware the engineers are going to come down, act like they care, and then assess the vibration as within specs. I think I may have caught him a little off guard but his body language suggested he knew that was exactly what was coming too. Then made a clear line in the sand about the fact that the sales company didn't manufacture it... so I'm pretty sure nothing good will come of this. Maybe they'll get their act together and truly fix it.
I will give them credit that they are trying to fix...but the problem is they don't know how and areat the mercy of Ford. the problem is this problem is well documented from what I can see and as a sales company they never should have sold this truck to me in January knowing these issues existed. I'm now on trip #5 with them in possession of the truck. They have now had it for over 7 days of the 40 I've owned it. Same problem. No fix. This truck is defective and the engineer move is damage control for when the lemon law inquiries start pouring in. If they don't fix it this time I'mat a loss for what to. Think it's best to cut the losses and trade it into Chevy or Toyota and tell everyone I know in the market that Ford will leave you high and dry if they majorly screw up when producing a vehicle. Buyer beware.
Such a stressful ordeal. Shoulda kept driving the battered and bruised camry I had before it. Only had a few minor issues in the 5 years i owned it from 170k miles. Lesson learned. I hope the thousands of people employed by Ford are concerned with this issue because I believe eventually this is going to become a material problem to their market share, but probably not in time to benefit me in anyway.

And the Tundra, it has the energetic bed bounce, though Toyota has a TSB for it, but it's a patch, not a solution. If you have small children, that will be in the backseat, Google Tundra Bed Bounce Video, or bouncing baby head, then test drive it to be certain it will work for you and your family.
All manufacturers have issues, but in my experience Toyota seems to handle customer concerns and buy backs easier, than the others.

I'm going to throw my name in the hat also.

My truck has had a vibration at 75-80 mph since it was brand new. I took it to the dealer at 1,000 miles and they replaced one of the tires (Goodyear) but the vibration was the same. I took the truck back and they replaced the rest of the tires because they were "out of round" and would not RF balance. The vibration was still there. I got frustrated and ordered new wheels and tire from Discount tire hoping this would fix the problem but the vibration is still there. I now have 19,000 miles on my truck and deal with this vibration every day. I stopped by a local dealership today explained my situation and let a tech drive my truck, he agreed the truck has a significant vibration between 75-80 mph and asked me to leave the truck so he could look at it. Hopefully I will hear something soon and will update my situation.

What is different from the FX-4 vs a regular 4X4?
Would anyone like me to explain how to check drive shaft angles?
All you need is one of these

a couple of jack stands and an hour or so.

Interested in finding a fix for this vibration problem. My 15 fx4 screw has had a vibration from new at approx. 25-35 mph. It's strongest at 30 mph. Lifted truck hoping the vibration would go away, but its exactly the same. Vibration is more noticeable when coasting or under light throttle. Don't notice as much under acceleration. Seems the fix might be with the driveshaft balance and/or angles. My truck only has 2500 miles on it now.

That's also what was done to my truck. Fix the driveshaft and tell you everything is OK. One ten second drive away told me otherwise.
The problem with these poor angle set ups is that they will eventually destroy components beyond the ends of the driveshaft proper. My differential was done by 10K, and the tranny is feeling it as well.
All for a simple shimming at very little cost.
The dealers are set up to replace parts. Not to fix things. That's where their money is.
