I got the same problem, does anyone here got their pinion angle tested ? Vibration at 40 km/h and 80km/h when letting off gas.Im about to bring my truck to a driveline expert , my truck has been to the dealer 3 times already and they cant find the problem. Hopefully Ford will find a fix for that issue. Obviously a major problem just by looking at all the posts !! 2015 f 150 FX4

My complete two piece driveshaft has just been replaced, c/w TC centre donut at the hanger (it was also not doing its job). Pinion gearset now. All to be realigned at the end.

Ford knows about this problem, but it took me 11,000 kms and four dealers to get it fixed. I was told there are only three other F150's in Canada getting this treatment. There are hundreds out there with these problems.

I'll report back once complete.

Had a 2hr drive home from dealer and noticed a vibration seemed to be coming mostly from the rear of the truck. Took it next few days to local ford dealer and they said two tires in rear had flat spots and they needed to order. I picked the truck up to drive until tires arrived two days later and during the road force balance on the first visit they must have moved the rear tires to the front because the vibration had shifted and I could feel it more in the steering than before. Two days later: They changed out the two tires and vibration seemed reduced at times but was not gone. I left the following day on a 600 mi highway trip pulling a utility trailer with polaris, so slightly weighted, and the vibration was multiplied the entire trip (frustrating to say the least for a $55k truck), at speeds any where from 50-up mph. Returned from trip and dropped off the truck for two days with a result of they couldn't duplicate the problem (absolute BS), they then proceeded to explain to me that if I only have 1 window down and not two it causes a shuttering effect inside the cab and feels like a vibration....really?! Another few days and continued vibration I stopped by dealer unannounced and the service manager took a ride with me since I had a trailer behind me and the vibration was magnified. He was obviously way to be busy for my issue, noticed by his lack of communication and smug demeanor. His tune changed slightly when he could "barely feel it". He explained he is going to order two more tires and road force balance then to let him know if it persists. One drive on the highway and it was obvious it was still there. I want to note the last thing I want is to spend days on end at ford service. I'm just wanting a vibrating free truck. I am now scheduled for Tuesday 13th to take the truck back in to swap tires back and ???. I'm thinking drive shaft, rotors?? I pulled the utility trailer again yesterday and horrible shaking around 55mph then settles down at some speeds and increases in others. I have now made video of the vibration on the inside as well as the vibration at the transfer case and the rear diff during highway speeds when shaking is at its worst with a gopro camera, hoping the service manager will actually review it to get some idea of what's happening. Just turned 3400mi....Any ideas guys??

Well get this.

Other dealership found it in 1 day - bad front right tire. vibration is now gone. I swore the pronounced road feeling was still there, perhaps something wrong with the other tires right? Went to the dealership i bought it from and got to drive the manager's personal truck just like mine except with BFG 50/50 tires and didn't even have to leave the lot before experiencing that his was riding more rough than mine. We then drove my truck and he said my truck rides better than his. We then drove a brand new truck with only 4 miles on it and the same times - oddly enough, felt exactly the same as my truck. Same tire pressure and everything. So this whole "feel everything in the road" was confirmed a part of being hyper sensitive to every damn thing on the road because of 2 things , everything I had read online that got me worked up, as well as the vibration i felt from that tire. It wasn't until heading back to the dealership that i remembered originally seeing the tire pressure at 32 on all 4 wheels when i first drove my truck off the lot. I had since bumped the tire pressure up to 40 PSI which was only 5 above door panel specs. I honestly didn't think I had felt that much road even with higher tire pressure, but it wasn't until the vibration that I started focusing on everything on the road.

I'll post this elsewhere too in hopes that it might shed some light on what others might be experiencing also. Shaking and Vibration is not normal.... Road noise is, depending how what kind of tires you go with.

I'm not sure if I'm having the same issue(s) as everyone here, but I'd like input from anyone willing to reply...

The issue I'm experiencing (which I /DO/ feel in the gas pedal, but not sure it's the same as the other thread) is that my truck is making a "lobing" sound from under the main driver compartment and/or front end ... Regardless of speed, it's //always// there. It may be faster or slower, but I always hear it. What's odd to me though is that if I put the truck into 4-wheel drive, the sound goes away - which makes me think possible transfer case after reading some of the other thread. Fairly recently I was out and I put the truck into 4WD (while at a complete stop), drove foward a bit while never hearing the sound, stopped and put it back into 2WD. Sound went away for all of about 10 minutes maybe.

My setup is a 2014 FX4 with a 5.0 V8. It's been leveled and I put on slightly larger tires on the factory rims. That's it - no other changes.

Called the dealer I bought it from yesterday and they said I'd need to take it over and have someone do a ride-along to hear it (if they could). I'm just curious if anyone has had the same thing happen, got it resolved, and what it may be ... not to mention how long it took. The truck hasnt even hit 20k miles yet so I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe something can be broke already but from reading other threads, looks like anything may be possible.

Thanks all!

Last Friday at my own cost(128.00) I had the drive shaft balanced at a business that repairs and builds replacement drive shafts. This did not fix the vibration problem on my 2015 f150. The place did not feel the drive shaft was out of balance far enough to be causing the issue I was having. However I was there and had them balance the drive shaft anyways just to start eliminating some parts. Still feel the issue is some how in the transfer case. Between 50 and 55mph once the truck shift into 6th gear the noise and vibration inside the cab is super annoying. Just like a rear window is open but it is not. Any other ideas or part change out found to help any one else?

How did it go for you Fringe? I ask because I'm starting to suspect some of these issues are engine/programming related.

I had a vibration issue in my truck back when I was test driving it at the dealership. It would start vibrating at around 60mph-65mph on the highway on the test drive. I then refused to buy the truck unless the dealership could fix the vibration issue. They claimed it was just flat spots from sitting on the lot so long and would eventually smooth out, but I didn't want to take that chance. They finally relented to swapping out wheels and tires from another truck that rode smooth, and that fixed the issue.

Did the whole truck vibrate or was it more in the gas pedal, steering wheel?
