Yeah, I was just wondering if it was reproducible all the time.

Mine was consistent once I hit 80 mph and went away at about 85 mph until I had my tires road forced balanced.

I do get vibration ever so often but at this point it is a different speeds on certain pieces of highway between work and home. I am contributing that to the road.

I have the exact same vibration as all of you guys. It starts at about 60 mph & gets worse the faster you go (never been over 85) but the vibration is there all the way from 60-85 mph. I had my tires Road Force balanced & the vibration only got slightly better, I then had my driveshaft checked & rebalanced at a specialty shop.....it was out of balance by almost 3/4 ounce of weight (I paid for this out of pocket). The vibration got slightly better again. I then checked my driveline angle which was off by 2.5*.....I shimmed the rear to correct the angle & the vibration is completely gone now (again I did this myself because of lack of dealer help). So my conclusion is that ALL 3 things contributed to my vibration problem. I now have the smoothest rolling 2015 F150 in America I believe.....lol It seems QC has DECLINED SHARPLY from the OEM's over the last 10 years. So, the true fix to our vibration problems is to do all 3 things I did....then & only then if the vibration is still present can you look elsewhere such as trans & transfer case mounts. You'll be pissing in the wind trying to diagnose a vibration issue without first making sure the biggest 3 things in the driveline system aren't right first #1 Tire Balance #2 Driveshaft Balance #3 Driveline Angle.....

Spot on bro. My vibration was also pinion angle being out 2 degrees.

I get what you're are saying, but I shelled out a ton of money for my truck. Why, should I have to pay more to other outside shops when, 1.) my truck is under warranty. 2.) Any problems that do arise should be fixed by the dealer at no cost to me, especially since I just gave them a ton of money.
I mean come on these are " MASTER MECHANICS " they should be able to tell that something isn't right. In no way shape or form should a vehicle shake the entire passenger seat while driving down a smooth road. If they tell you that's normal and all trucks do that, they are full of it.

I'm with you all the way in that Ford should cover the cost 100% until the problem is fixed. But in reality, I didn't wanna drive a truck for another year or two that vibrated it's *** off until Ford decided they finally had a fix or better yet admitted they had a problem & issued a TSB to fix it. I've submitted all my receipts to Ford for reimbursement of my expenses. It really wasn't that expensive, but more my time & energy to fix my problem. I'm lucky enough to have the tools & know how to work on my own stuff, a lot of people don't have the tools or knowledge to do that. The Road Force balance was free, done by my dealership under warranty. The driveshaft balance only set me back $60 & the rear shim kit was $125. The real issue is that most dealerships are ****ty at NVH concerns. Just because your master mechanic can rebuild your engine or transmission, doesn't mean he can diagnose a road vibration & fix it. They have onboard sensors they can mount on the vehicle in different spots to try & isolate the problem, but 90% of techs will never spend the time to hook all that up & do it. Instead they throw parts at it under warranty hoping for a quick fix. Sad but very true.

I agree, this is why I quoted master mechanic. I am fortunate to have the dealer I am working with actually sit down and work to find and isolate the issue instead for sweeping it under the rug and kicking me out the door. I have worked with several dealer the past several year that for lack of better words, have left a bad after taste. This almost had me looking into other brands, but with Z-plan pricing it was just too hard to walk away.

the vibration is consistent with the given speeds. It never goes away.

You know, I am also surprised that no body from Ford has commented on any of the posts that we have made. I would have expected it to happen by now especially knowing that we are all on here complaining about the same problem.

They are stonewalling. This affects hundred of thousands of vehicles throughout the entire F-series range, going back over time.

Okay, so I sent an email complaint into Ford corporate yesterday. I got an email back letting me know that a rep would be contacting me today which they did. I ended up missing the call but he left a msg.

He said that the engineers have been trying to resolve this issue and have found a issue with the ring and pinion backlash in some of the trucks that is causing the vibration and would like me to bring the truck back in for another inspection. I just need to set up the time to get it in again.

I really am not certain that this is the fix but I guess I have no choice. I need (we F-150 owners) the problem fixed so I can have a good truck that I can pull a trailer with and not have a severe vibration.

I will post again when I hear back.

Has anyone else had this done or anything else by the dealer that has rid the problem? I as well am not one that is willing to keep shelling out the money to have this problem looked at by an outside party as warranty and Ford should be taking care of the problem.

Ring and Pinion Backlash

These are the parts that are on order from Ford via my dealer. Interesting!

But still without a forensic examination one never knows. However, as my dealer says, once they get an order to do something, anything, then if it doesn't work, Ford HAS to fix it.

Except I am at 9700 km's now and no fix is in yet. Farking exasperating.
