2015+ F150 Frozen Door Locks or Latch and TSB feedback Poll

I've had my door latches replaced twice now, truck has been to the shop about 8 times for this issue. Really annoying to say the least and it's been happening since the first month I owned the truck. I haven't had the issue since the last fix with all latches. It just sucks that my door panels are creaky and cheap sounding/feeling now because they've been off so many times.

I noticed BMW has a large recall 45,000 for a series 7 car, where their doors may open while driving! I wonder if Ford uses the same door latch supplier? They certainly have lots of issues with door latches.

Door latches..

I have a 2016 Lariat and in the winter when I could I would hose it down, well sometimes the next day the doors would not open.
I would eventually get them to but , I called the dealer and they say there is a procedure ( 5-6 hours) they can do to put a cover over the mechanism on all the doors.
I chose not to have them digging in the doors , so it happened 5-6 times I recall holding the door driving ,because until it heated up the latch would not catch.

I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread and I am not going to search for it. But has anybody tried a heat gun to temporarily resolve your issue?

John,
Heat guns I wouldn't use on a vehicle like that for that purpose , I got my information from the Ford dealer call them and explain . Did your issue happen in the cold they told me there was a bulletin, I just want them ripping the doors open . mine is a super cab so they only needed to address two doors....

Ive decided to inspect them myself, this link shows what I found

This may help understanding what some of the issues are and perhaps if your dealer is better then mone they will look into it. I know its summer now and nobody has the freezing issue, but mine was rusted/seized now because of the poor design...
