It's (fiat diesel) still slow as a slug. I'll pay more in fuel mileage to walk all over that truck all day long.

The media testing new trucks have given nice reviews, but check out the experiences on actual owners of the FIAT Ecodiesel - 1. In the meantime, they are saying the injector assembly is on back-order. Hmmm... let's see, that means i won't have a car for a few weeks or more i'm guessing. Can anyone say, Lemon? 2. From what I can tell the Injectors may not be available for some time. I bet you'll end up with an entire new DEF tank as they ship as one unit. possibly pulled from assembly line. fastest way. More out there with same issue. 3. I've have DEF issues as well, dealers says they have 3 x 2014 GC's with DEF type issues in/out of the shop last few weeks. They replaced DEF heater module few weeks ago on mine, now the CEL light is on again All manufacturers have issues, but the FIAT Ecodiesel manufactured in Italy has already got mechanical issues right out of the gate. Parts availability in North America is also an issue with certain parts on back order.
How long ago was it that people had to wait on the CAC for the Eco because they were on back order? What about plug gap issues, ect....
All motors have issues and it eventually gets ironed out.

Compare the EB to the 6.2 and I bet it does achieve 20% better mileage...but of course, you'll want to compare it to the 5.0 but while the power numbers may be similar, the torque numbers are not even close. The better comparison is the 6.2.
