I don't have any proof but ford has been planning this release for a few years, I think they wouldn't plan a AL pickup with a shortage of AL

There was an article about the F150 back in February that said Ford had already beefed up its aluminum supply for F150 production and Alcoa said most of their supply was spoken for. I'd guess it would be any future projects that might be affected, not the F150.

Anybody got any data to support?
When I first read your post I assumed the "salesman" worked at a Ford dealership. Then, it struck me that the sales person might well be working at a competitive brand dealer or a used car lot trying to discourage your wait for a 2015 F-150.

At any rate, as an investor I follow commodity supplies, e.g. AL and business news relevant to Ford closely...nothing to confirm your rumor has surfaced in available sources that I am aware of since January.

In other news, GM with more recalls, most notably the 2014 Sierra/Silverado.

Yeah...loved Pearl Bailey, lamented Pearl Harbor. I'll be remembering both May 26th.

Yea I should have clarified.

No he works for a large Ford dealer in the state. I've known him a long time so he wouldn't BS me. I bought my '13 platinum from him.

I am wanting to exit the ecoboost world and get into a 5.0 f150 so I've been asking him should I buy a '14 5.0 now or wait for new 2015 fx4 and get the 5.0.

If you guys see or hear (legitimate source) that they are extending the 2014 order cutoff dates, that might be a sign that they aren't quote ready to rollout the 2015s yet.

I think Ford has got the steel industry a little worried with this aluminum truck.
