Sorry for the late response. The red/white tube is dielectric grease to put on the wire connection plugs.
The surround has approximately 8-10 clips molded in on the back side of the surround that clip into the headlight assy.. After you take the upper pushpin out of the top of the surround, just start pulling out from the top and they will pull out one at a time until you end up at the fender lip molding (if you have one) and the surround will pull out of the 2 clips that are in the fender lip molding. Moderate pressure-don"t be afraid to pull but don't jerk. You will be fine.

I'm not telling anyone what is the right way but start on the driver's side as it was easier for me as the washer tank is behind the passenger light and it was easier to get the new driver's side light back in place so start on what I thought was the easier side so you don't get discouraged.
Also, you are working with plastic. Start all bolts by finger before tightening any of them up so you don't cross thread anything and everything stays in alignment.
You are working with such small fasteners that you can snug everything by hand (just using the socket) and then final tighten with the ratchet.
Good luck!

Two detail photos that can be beneficial, when removing the black lower air duct after all the bolts are out there are still three clips that need taking apart.
First one is on the side one vehicle near the fender arch trim. Needs long nose pliers:
The other two are at the bottom under the headlight; where the actual duct is held up by the shroud itself. Flathead Screwdriver pointing to one of them, that's all you need to undo these clips. Only then will you be able to remove tha shroud.
