I replaced my 23gal tank with a 36 gal tank . The dealer did all the work . I also had trouble with DTE not reading right . After trying several ways to fix this I came across a thread that said the only way too fix it is to enter another trucks vin who has all your extras plus a 36gal tank . This worked for me and the gauge and reality are as close as they ever were ( within a gal )

Yeah you can upload pics no prob. You mentioned that a vented 23 gal tank could technically hold 33 gals vented. You also mentioned adding another 5 gals after the pump kicks off. Just curious, why not fill up to 31-32 gals? Why just stop at 5 additional gals?

I want to leave room for expansion and the closer you get to full the slower it goes into the tank. I got my info about the tank size here: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/33-ga...n-tank-357945/ , I have not actually put in more than 7 gallons after the pump clicks off.

Do you need to make this thread public (not even sure that's an option)? Even when I'm logged in it says I don't have permissions to it.

I get the same thing and I created it, that's why I think it was deleted. Who would have that authority? I did spend a fair amount of time documenting it with lots of pictures but it is gone not sure why.
