All in all I like it. Here is a pic of it installed.

Check this thread that has way more discussion on the Scosche installed... bugs etc.

With your 893...does your deck dim with the cab lights or at night?... I've got the same deck and not sure if its the deck or dash kit...thanks... everything else is awesome!

Neither the deck nor the Scosche ac screen dim with the lights. The Scosche screen does change from a bright background to a darker background though. On the 893 I tried dimmer on, sync, and nav-sync... nothing. I guess it can join our list of bugs to Sosche. I have the same results you listed on the other thread as far as the phone button changing the source though. Also, did you read my post about the air flow from the vents dropping down to about 25% or normal intermittently? Fortunately I have the center console, so I put the two USB plugs inside the little compartment you see below the Scosche ac screen. It's really cool.

I did see your post on the fan speed dropping. I'm going on day 3 and so far its good on mine. I did notice during routing the wires for gps/xm that it is easy to get a wire in the way of the hvac dampers. I had to zip tie mine out of the way. also there are alot of hvac components in the area of the dash kit....wondering if one became loose??
For the dash kit dimming, did you set yours to auto dim? the directions suck that came with the dash kit and I found I pretty much had to touch every button to figure out wtf it does or does not do...also be sure to hit the finish button if you make changes to the kit, or settings will not stick.

Another thought... since the directions suck and tech support is dumb as rock, perhaps we are wired incorrectly for some of our issues... I called tech support about 3 audio wires and what they were...1/2 hr on the phone and they gave me bad info... maybe all this is a simple wire swap?

For me it's not the fan speed... I hear the fan going full tilt when I switch to high, do the ac controls work. It's that the volume of air coming out the vents goes down intermittently. Right now it's fine... hope it lasts. Maybe I'll take another peek in there to see if they blocked anything during the install... perhaps a loose wire or something.

My kit dim setting is auto, and changes the Scosche screen to a darker background when the lights come on.

You would think that dimming would be a pretty straight forward thing so I tend to agree with you, it may just be a wire swap. I'll poke around and let you know what I find.

Here is a link to the install manual:
