Looks like a 1990 ford explorer that was beat on with an ugly stick, Shows to go ya that people with too much money only buy nameplates.

Like my old wealthy German Aunt, I ask why she does not buy a Mercedes, She answers .

BAH, German Chevy....lol
But over here it ooooh aaaah, Import

You bring up an interesting point actually. When I was in Germany, all of the cabs were Mercedes E200's, stripped out with cloth seats and steel wheels with wheel covers. I drool over the base model Mercedes E250's here in Canada that start at $55,000 that come standard with leather, power everything, 18" alloys. It's weird thinking that BMW, Mercedes and Audi are Germany's run of the mill "big 3" domestics.

They better at least have the 3.5 Eco as an option on the Expedition.
Read somewhere that the Navigator was getting the 3.5 eco and the EXPY was getting the 3.7 and 5.0L This was an old truck trend article I think. Since the 3.7L is end of life, I am sure that this will all change.

The new Silverado 6.2 gets 21 highway, no reason why the Escalade shouldn't.

I think the Escalade will mop the floor with this tub of crap. Ford focused on the F-150 and left this redesign to the last minute, and about 2 weeks ago one of the head engineers at Ford went "Oh crap, we forgot about the Navigator!". So they slapped in a steering wheel from the current F-150, a MFT unit from an MKZ, took a blowtorch and melted the front end to make it look like this, stopped by Jeep for some taillights from the Grand Cherokee and threw in an Ecoboost. Even Lincoln themselves said indirectly that an "all new" Navigator is coming. In other words, we'll be holding out for another 11 years. Weird move from a luxury brand that says they're starting from scratch.
yeah, pretty much all of that ^^^^

We still don't know what the Expedition will look like, which is what most will get. To me the 5.4 engine was the only thing holding the Expedition from being great. The 5.0 will make for an great SUV motor. It will not be competing with the Escalade but instead the suburban.
The suburban with the 5.3 and the expedition with the 5.0 should be rather tight.

I have 2 reasons:

1.) The Escalade weighs a hell of a lot more.

2.) 21 MPG rating is for 2wd. Who the is going to drop $65k on a truck and get it in 2wd. 2wd is for poozzies.

The Escalade and Range Rover look like Victoria's Secret models compared the Rosie O'Donnell looking Navigator.

The new and old Escalade looks like it was made by Mattel compared to the new Range Rover. Not even close to the same build quality as the RR. LOL
