Sounds like Ford is BSíng us and using delay tactics to put this off until all trucks with it are out of warranty. That's pretty crappy. Worst warranty service I've ever had with any automobile. My first Ford. Not a great first impression.

That's why you take it in before your standard warranty runs out.* Let them have it on record under warranty and them tell you the fix is delayed until the parts are ready.* They could turn around and do an extended warranty TSB for the dash.*

This is my first Ford and it’s been in to have the leaking oil pan replaced twice, and the sunglass holder replaced because it wouldn’t stay*closed. *I really like this truck, so I’ll definitely pick up the extended warranty before the 3/36 is up. *

I took my 2018 XLT into the dealer, for an annoying dash rattle and it turns out the cause the dash being warped. They dealer called Ford to initiate a warranty claim and asked if there was a solution to this problem. The rep at Ford told the GM at the dealership they are supposed to have a "fix" or replacement for the warped dash components by the end of February 2019 - March 2019. The GM apologized stating there is nothing they can do until a part becomes available and I would need to wait.

So by March? So really, by July? At least it is getting a fix, we will see if the fix works.

Sounds to me like Class Action time... Everyone that has a warped dash - gets $1,000 in for accessory credits from Ford.

*Update*
The dealer called me last week to let me know Ford has a Fix for the dash warping issue. I have an appointment to drop of my truck next week, fingers crossed. While it is there they can fix my Frozen lock issue and popping/ clicking sound in steering column.

I just don't know if I want a dealer/tech just tearing my dash apart in my brand new truck!!!!!! I have no rattles or squeaks in my dash now although it is warped a slight bit.
But is it enough for me to get it fixed and potentially risk more issues if it isn't put together right?

i've not heard back from one single person who's had this fix done, and reported the results.

Pulling the dash is a bad way to go. Use heat gun, or the sun and stick wedges it will reform. It is hardly noticeable to begin with.

Why would you pull the dash for that. There are better ways.

FORD just pulled a TSB out of there ***. Because they know most people will not want the dash pulled.

Problem is, there isn't much competition on these trucks. So, they don't give a rats ***.

****in cheap OEM.
