The Colorado was declared "best in class" by MT. Not hard considering it's the newest midsize on the market by at least a decade. I still remember when they voted the Ridgeline TOTY. Not much stock in this at all.

"MY" MT car of the year was a new 1990 Mazda MPV van with AWD.
Senario- I was all excited that I'd managed to pay off the loan on our farm & home in 9 years via double payments and in spite of high interest of the times, all while raising three sons!
That van fit our needs! WRONG.
Fact: It was a POS.
Underpowered.
Poor handling.
Poor MPG
Undersized torque convertor caused taranny failure 500 miles past the 50k warranty, yet Ford dealer would not fix under warranty.
One of the worst choices I've ever made in a vehicle.( other than deciding to ride MC's over 50 yrs ago)

I bought a Frontier when they redesigned it for '05 and the new ones look exactly exactly like mine. They have pretty much done jack squat to the Frontier/Tacoma in 10 years. The only nice thing is that when I sell it next month, it still looks current!

...The Colorado is rated to tow 7,000 pounds with a V-6 and towing package, which we did not sample. The 2.5-liter is rated for 3,500 pounds, but Chevy doesn't sell a hitch on 2.5-liter models, so we put one on and towed a 3,000-pound trailer. Acceleration to 60 mph slowed from 9.3 to 17.4 seconds ...

I guess Sam Elliott is out of a job now with those Ram commercials...
