2015 cargo light come on by themselves
I'm not sure if this has been addressed or not but past few days I've been told my cargo lights have been on during the night. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Haven't dug into it yet hoping someone has some advice first. It's a 2015 xlt.

if you have bed lights also, chances are it’s the switch in the bed of the truck going bad.

I had my LED bed lights in my 2015 XLT coming on at random times. My battery never went dead but my clock would lose 15 minutes every now and then. The dealer's shop pulled apart my wiring harness connectors, cleaned them up, put dialectic grease on the connections and replaced a switch. They had my truck for two days figuring it out. Cost a couple hundred buck as I was well past my 36K bumper to bumper but was only 2 1/2 years old. I wasn't happy, but they've not acted up since. So with nearly 83K miles on the truck and that being my only issue, I can't be too upset,

First thing I'd mention is the switch in the bed seems to be the problem. I'll try and find the part number tomorrow. They tired to sell me the switch by itself for $50. Well I broke the plastic bezel around the switch and told them I needed that also my sales guy actually found the switch and bezel together for $25.

Have a 2015 F150 Sport, having same issue with cargo light turning on/off....again. March 2018, had it to dealer when they "performed computer controlled lamp system, noted hard fault in BCM when tested B14A7 on demand and continuous puddle/cargo swtich input shorted to ground." They replaced headlamp switch and retested "pass code obtained on BCM self tests, lamp control functions corrected". Well, here I am 11 months later and here we go again. I noticed it come on last week, when the truck sat for an entire week due to the inclement weather we had. It came on and went off maybe twice. Now, and over the entire weekend, I've had a strobe light going in the driveway. Oh, by the way, the first time this happened, IT DID DRAIN THE BATTERY and I had to have towing service booster jump start it. Today I had a buddy pull the bulbs out, because we are getting more inclement weather and I cannot get into the dealer for service until next week. When he pulled the bulbs, we found that the bulbs had started to melt the chrome/plastic edge of the cargo light fixture. I'm absolutely baffled how part number FL3Z 11654 BA - Switch Assy, has anything to do with wiring to my cargo lights, or how they are heating up enough to melt the light fixture, in the dead of winter. By the way, and unknown to me, the fixture is now cracked, and has water/moisture inside the lamp itself. Absolute nightmare. I highly recommend that you pull the bulbs before they heat up and melt the lamp housing like mine did and ultimately drain your battery completely. I have ZERO other issues with other lights. This is the only light that is acting up....again. (sigh) Anyone else?

So they replaced the headlight switch? Did they check the switch in the bed of the truck? The code you are saying is the exact same as the one in the link above (second post in the thread) ended up being the tailgate switch. Problem solved same issue I had and after replacing the tailgate switch haven't had an issue.
