So I have the HD relay with the capacitor link, tested out this morning, I get no flicker at all with auto start stop.

I was looking into buying these over the holiday with the discount. I am also interested in how these perform in the projector housing.

I think the fins on this unit should be fanned a little more. I saw a picture of the fins spread out differently in a link below.

I have been running the Opt7 Fluxbeams for well over a year now. No issues whatsoever. I have the controllers inside the housings as well. Apparently the Opt7 controllers are more durable than some others.

I left them in so I would have an excuse to upgrade to XHP70s, or whatever else better comes out. Not so much as a flicker as of yet.

I am satisfied with the output of the Opt7 as well. I rotated them, after the initial install, until the cutoff was more focused.

Yep, I just ordered a morimoto setup with the HD wiring harness rather than the straight canbus connection. That hopefully will solve all of this.

No I believe those are the g9 bulbs . The xhp 70 will require you to relocate the ballast. That's due to it overheating inside the cavity.

Yeah I wish I could space them out more. I did space out the low beam fins a little more, but it wasn’t a drastic change. Nothing against 4x4truckleds at all because their customer service and shipping was great, but I personally don’t think there is enough room in the housing for the fins to spread out like they are shown on paperwork and online. The low beam cavity says you don’t need a boot because there is enough room, but I think it is way too tight. Also, the ballasts can go inside of the housing. Does anyone know how hot these fins or ballasts get? Hot enough to melt plastic? Melt wire insulation?
