Ok so I'm late to the show w.r.t. the sport mode so I'm testing a theory. Let the computer learn sport mode by way of use, and see the mpg rise when back in standard mode. Either way I need to find a way to close the gap.

I was getting around 16-17 in my 5.0 with 3.73 gears till I lifted it with 3000 miles on the odometer. I use cruise control quite a bit when I'm on the highway and usually that was at about 78 mph. Now that I have a 6" lift and 35's I'll get about 13 after you factor in for excess distance covered with the bigger tires. It'll get better though before long since my powertrain is 100% stock. Gonna have dual exhaust and a cold air intake installed before long and then have a custom tune created after that.

Only about 630 miles so far, but the trip computer has me at 19.6 (first tank of gas) and 19.8 (current tank). The first tank was hand-calculated at 18.5 however. I hope the second tank is closer to the actual number. This is mostly city speeds (40 mph or under) but with few stops. I'm still driving pretty conservatively as well since it's still so new.
